Kim joins of Kelowna to share a life story that has taken her from a farm outside Prince George, to Burnaby, to the Cayman Islands, and eventually to Kelowna.

Growing up around animals, 4H, hard work, and northern BC winters shaped a lot of Kim’s early life. From there, she moved to the city, studied criminology and counselling, met her husband on a flight to Mexico, and later spent years living and working in the Cayman Islands.

In this episode, we talk about farm life, travel, hurricanes, evacuation, moving back to Kelowna, working in bylaw, and the experiences that led Kim to start Hippomouth Inventory — a business focused on helping people document what they own before they ever need to make an insurance claim.

A thoughtful conversation about resilience, preparedness, big life pivots, and the moments that make you realize how quickly life can change.
